Just an absoutely nightmare and the director depicted his savagery damn well. Jon and Theon was an interesting twist I didn’t see coming.Īnyways the battle was fookin epic! The Dothraki are no joke, but Drogon was unreal.
Jon Dany scenes in the cave was interesting….seems like they are gradually warming up to one another. The writers of course want us to believe LF will create some havoc and pit the siblings against each other, but I think they (most likely Arya) will kill him. But it was believable and moving to see Sansa’s and Arya’s reunion. Sansa has been affected and changed by what she has endured, Bran, and of course Arya as well. Clearly one of the main themes in ASOIAF is that actions have consequences and nobody goes through life unscathed. The Arya reunion at Winterfell was nicely done. Diana Rigg has proved there is truly nothing like a Dame. Her barbs always drew blood, her candor always drew approval, and her roasting of Cersei was just what the doctor ordered. I haven’t mentioned here how much I’ll miss the QoT. I’m glad Jon and Dany have been duetting with “Getting to Know You”, but if only he’d be there when his sister arrives Home… Sigh.
And Arya coming home at last after trying so many times…well, I hope that reunion works better than Bran’s. I hope for a Hound appearance, as his story in Ep 1 was funny, moving, and eerie. Knobs! So far IMO the quickened pace has caused nothing jarring. I’ve seen a few articles online lately about the show being rushed or the timelines confusing. Judging from the episode summary above and previews, this is going to be my favourite type of episode.: equal mix of spectacular action and emotional power. Now the end and then The End is in sight. When WotW started the countdown clock it was something like 130 days. Hard to believe tonight is the middle episode of the all-too-short season. Have a great night and enjoy the episode!
